Most luxury hotels give you a building. Grand Hyatt Gurgaon gives you a small district. The hotel is one part of a 29-acre complex on Golf Course Road that also holds a high-street shopping centre and an office tower, so a business traveller can walk from a morning meeting to lunch to a late coffee without needing a cab in between. Opened in August 2022 with 442 rooms, it was the first Grand Hyatt in Gurgaon and only the fourth in India. The architecture comes from Foster+Partners of London, the studio behind some of the world's best-known buildings, and the interiors were done by Tony Chi & Associates of New York. It's an unusual pairing for Gurgaon, where many hotels follow a familiar glass-tower template. Here, the architecture and interiors were planned together, and the result is a hotel that feels designed as a whole rather than assembled from separate parts.
Four Places to Eat Without Leaving the Property
Dining is one of the strongest reasons to stay a few nights instead of one. Cena Pranzo is the Italian trattoria, Maison Maiya covers Indian, Asian and Western cooking under one roof, Parlour is the casual all-rounder, and Musui is the bar for the evening. For guests on longer work trips, that variety solves the usual problem of eating in the same hotel restaurant every night.
